Camera Shy

Today was not an incredibly productive day. While I was on the treadmill, I did watch a video on self-publishing photo books called “How to Create a Photobook with ZERO Experience” by Three Blind Men and An Elephant. They push a company called "Saal Digital”, which I plan to look into when I get to that stage in the project. My hope is still to get Lenny’s book published through a professional company. However, I do want to create a high-quality photo book to present to prospective publishers.
I did attempt to make contact an old acquaintance of mine who is an artist and had published artwork, writing and music. It has been many years since I have seen or spoken to him (not since I was in my 20’s, actually!) so it’s another long shot but I figured it’s important to reach out and try to reconnect with people who might be able to advise. I easily found his website and filled out one of those “Contact Us” forms. I am sure there is an easier way (Twitter, arrgghh) but I am going to start out with this small outreach and see if I get a response. There is no sense of urgency at this point, although it would be nice to know that he is okay.
I also looked over a few images my mom found of Lenny and she told me that he didn’t like having his picture taken…just like me…always happier (and safer) behind the camera.
