“Passin’ Me By” - The Pharcyde
I played this track on loop today. And mind you, I only knew I could actually loop it after my six-year old son pointed out: “Mom, you just right click and then click where it says “loop.”
But moving on. Why this track, you ask? Well, because it is what the Canon case at the bottom of the stairs would be crooning, if it could sing. This is the chorus:
She keeps on passing me by
She keeps on passing me by
(I'll say it again)
I don’t know if you’ve ever done this but I have justified my repeated bypassing of the bag and its contents that rest at the bottom of the attic stairs by telling myself: “I’ll get to it. One thing at a time.” I then double-down by assuring myself that it isn’t healthy to multi-task, that I need to be able to have time to 100% focus on learning how to use the camera. (And I will have this time to focus 100% when?) And so I am trying to oppose those very conniving arguments. I spent some time perusing beginner DSLR camera books on Amazon and found this one: DSLR Photography for Beginners - Brian Black. Read some reviews. Peered inside the book, in that virtual kinda way. Clicked three times. It will arrive tomorrow.
The real question is: where will that book end up? And will I not only brush the dust off the Canon bag but actually open it up? (Okay, so those were two questions). Time for bed.
