Putting It Out There, Again

I was able to send out the PDF proposals to two more publishers: powerHouse Books (love that name) and Skyhorse Publishing (loving that image as well). I tried, in vain, to send the proposal to a third company, Prestel Publishing USA but it got bounced back to me. I rechecked my spelling of the email address and wandered their site in search of an alternate email but was unsuccessful and so I am letting that go. For now.

Tomorrow, I tackle the rest of the publishers on my short short-list. And then - since it’ll be a 9-12 week wait for a response from the publishers (if at all) - I will redirect my energy back to cleaning & rescanning slides and typing up the remaining chapters by Jan Stacy. I will then resume the painstaking process of arranges the images and text using Blurb’s BookWright software. I have this fear that, after all of the effort, that the book will look amateurish and sloppy. But I have to start somewhere. And Blurb is that somewhere. A blurb involves praise and so that is a good thing. I’ll take that. Whatever I create will be in praise of Lenny and Jan Stacy and the tugboatmen and their tugs.
