Running Out of Air
Sunday, April 25, 2021
Well, to be more honest, I completely ran out of air as I was cleaning the Chapter 3 slides. I am pissed at myself because I had the opportunity to buy a 3-pack of compressed air but I thought to myself: “Now now, Ena, you said you are trying to be a minimalist. And you no longer earn a salary. You don’t need 3 cans.”
I need 3 cans.
Or perhaps one “mega”-sized can would have sufficed. At this point, I am at the mercy of Amazon. In a way, it was a bit of a blessing. And all you “everything happens for a reason” folks can get ready to say it because, as I was running our air, I was running our of energy. I received my second dose of the vaccine on Thursday and started feeling side effects by Friday morning. So I cancelled class (something that the Ena of 2020 would probably not have done) and rested up. I watched House and drank a lot of fluids. And worked on just breathing easy.
And so now, air is on the way. In the meantime, I’ll keep typing the chapters and squeeze them into the text boxes, hoping it’ll look decent when the book draft is done. I’ve got the refrain from “Keep on Movin’” (Soul II Soul) playing on repeat in my head. Thank god for music.
