Another Difficult Moment

I don’t feel moved to write too much about this day. I somehow found myself listening to Bjork -Vespertine and just so happened to notice how many photos Lenny took of tugboats against the background of the Twin Towers. When the buildings burned, I was in Buffalo - alone. I remember that I was listening to Bjork and the TV was on. I remember seeing people jumping out of windows as Bjork was singing “Unison.” I will forever be haunted by that song. It conjures for me an ascension, an expansive outcry, something at once both achingly painful and heart-mending.
