A Short Short-List That Seemed to Come Up Short

Not much was accomplished today and I am okay with that. It is good that I think of the project every day, that I write every day and sometimes that is enough. I did look through some of the photo books I have. I sat on the ottoman in the living room, then moved to my favorite faux-leather chair by the window. I read some of the Acknowledgment Pages but didn’t necessarily feel as though the names I came across would bear any meaning or be of much help. The names seemed so disconnected from what I am doing. There was no Agent or Editor who adored tugboats or felt a passion for New York City. I jotted down a toddler’s handful of names but ultimately felt that I needed to look the project straight in the eyes. I would have to start writing up a photo book proposal. That is the next (challenging) step forward that I need to take.
